Witchcraft is a film and television production company run by filmmakers Noah Lang and Rod Blackhurst.

Witchcraft is a development and production company based in Los Angeles and Nashville focused on genre storytelling with teeth, meaning, and an audience in a market climate that often forgets all three.

We started as an independent label focused on building filmmakers and writers from the ground up and have been fortunate to produce a number of acclaimed features. Whether it be the star-studded crime thriller BLOOD FOR DUST with Kit Harington and Josh Lucas, the body horror of SWALLOWED with XYZ and eOne, THIS IS NOT A WAR STORY for HBOmax, or our brutal reimagining of the slasher sub-genre with the widely acclaimed feature film DOLLY with Shudder, we embraced an ethos of being predictive of audience wants while maintaining integrity of story and filmmaker advocacy.

Our projects have been programmed all over the world from SXSW, Deauville and Tribeca to Fantastic, Fantasia and Sitges, been Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes, acclaimed by the NY Times, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety, been nominated for Independent Spirit Awards, and sold at the studio level to partners like Amblin, CBS Studios, Bassett/Vance, Peacock and more.

We pride ourselves on spotting blind spots in the filmmaking world and are uniquely situated as end-to-end producers to deliver high-end films and pride ourselves on that fact.

We seek to discover and develop talent and bring them into the system while protecting their goals and mandates because we are no different. Through our representation at Spectrevision and UTA, we leverage our own support system to benefit filmmakers who ultimately become not only our collaborators but our friends.

It’s about the work and finding creative, crafty, and strategic ways to tell undeniable stories.

Our slate will always reflect that ethos.

Witchcraft is our investment in all of the above.

Drop us a line and join us.
