Witchcraft is a film and television production company founded by filmmakers Noah Lang and Rod Blackhurst.
Founded in 2018, Witchcraft began as an independent label focused on building filmmakers from the ground up. Our mission has always been simple: identify stories with urgency and voice, support the people telling them, and deliver work that connects with audiences without compromising integrity.
Our work includes the star-studded crime thriller BLOOD FOR DUST, starring Scoot McNairy, Kit Harington, and Josh Lucas; the body horror critical darling SWALLOWED with XYZ and eOne; the HBO Max original THIS IS NOT A WAR STORY, executive produced by Rosario Dawson; and our brutal reimagining of the slasher genre with the widely acclaimed feature DOLLY, released with IFC and Shudder alongside executive producer Steven Schneider of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and INSIDIOUS. Across features, television - and short form work with more than ten million views - Witchcraft operates with a clear ethos: be predictive of audience appetite while fiercely protecting story, voice, and filmmakers.
Our projects have been programmed at festivals around the world, including SXSW, Deauville, Tribeca, Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, and Sitges. They have been Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes, praised by The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, and Variety, nominated for Independent Spirit Awards, and sold at the studio level to partners including Amblin, CBS Studios, Atomic Monster, Bassett Vance, Peacock, and others.
We are acutely focused on identifying blind spots in the marketplace and are uniquely positioned as end to end producers who can shepherd projects from idea to release at the highest level. That is a responsibility we take seriously and take pride in.
We are committed to discovering and developing talent, bringing new voices into the system while protecting their goals and mandates…because we are filmmakers first and foremost. Through our representation at SpectreVision and Gersh, we leverage our own support structure to benefit the artists we work with, many of whom become not only collaborators, but long term creative partners and friends.
It is about the work and finding creative, resourceful, and strategic ways to tell undeniable stories.
Our slate will always reflect that belief.
Witchcraft is our investment in all of the above.
Drop us a line and join us.
